As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Discovery House Comprehensive Treatment Centers of Utah: Methadone & Suboxone Clinics to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, our treatment center provides all-encompassing individualized care to men and women, aged 18 and older, who have been grappling with an addiction to opioids for one year or longer. Our professional staff of addiction treatment experts has the training, knowledge, and compassion to deliver the most effective care while maintaining a supportive and positive treatment environment for each person who chooses to heal with us.

When patients enter treatment at Discovery House Comprehensive Treatment Center of Salt Lake City, they will be provided with a combination of medication-assisted treatment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. By taking part in this type of comprehensive approach to care, patients are able to combat both the physical and psychological components that have previously tainted their abilities to overcome their addictions.

Our Treatment Therapies

At Discovery House Comprehensive Treatment Center of Salt Lake City, the following medications may be implemented into a patient’s individualized treatment plan:

  • Methadone
  • Subutex (buprenorphine)

The use of either medication, including the dosage that is prescribed, will be determined based on each patient’s unique needs and treatment goals.

In addition to medication-assisted treatment, the following therapeutic interventions are available to patients at Discovery House Comprehensive Treatment Center of Salt Lake City:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Family therapy

Individual counseling occurs with licensed and trained professionals. Group therapy and psychoeducation occurs daily Monday through Friday throughout the morning hours of the treatment center’s operations. Specialized family group sessions are offered on Wednesday evenings.
