Learn About Us
Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center provides life-changing medication assisted treatment services to adult men and women who have been struggling with opioid addiction. At Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center, individuals ages 18 and above who have been dependent upon heroin, prescription painkillers, or other opioids for at least one year can receive the comprehensive personalized care that they need in order to end their dependence on these dangerous substances and successfully pursue healthier drug-free futures.
Treatment at Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center features an effective combination of medications and therapy that is designed to help patients overcome the physical and psychological obstacles that can prevent them from achieving successful recovery.
The safe and effective prescription medications that are incorporated into patients’ personalized treatment plans alleviate the powerful cravings and other distressing withdrawal symptoms that an opioid-dependent individual would otherwise experience when he or she attempts to stop abusing opioids. The ability of these medications to ease the physical distress of opioid withdrawal provides patients with the physical strength and mental clarity that will allow them to fully engage in the therapeutic elements of their treatment and also meet their other daily responsibilities. Depending upon a thorough assessment of each patient’s strengths, needs, and treatment goals, his or her treatment at Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center may involve the following medications:
- Buprenorphine (Subutex)
Throughout an individual’s time in treatment at Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center, members of his or her treatment team will continue to monitor the effectiveness, optimal dosage level, and other aspects of the medication component of care.
Our Treatment Therapies
Freed from the distress of withdrawal, patients will be able to experience maximum benefit from the therapeutic elements of treatment at Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center. During his or her time in treatment with us, a patient may participate in the following types of therapy:
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
Individual and group therapy sessions help individuals to identify and address the internal and external factors that may have contributed to their opioid abuse, or that may have previously prevented them from achieving lasting recovery. Therapy allows patients to receive support from treatment professionals and others who have been struggling with similar challenges, and also empowers them to take ownership of their recovery.
